BEIJING — Vice-Premier Han Zheng stressed efforts for new progress in the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
Han, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks while presiding over a meeting of a leading group for the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region on March 16.
Han stressed efforts to accelerate the construction of the integrated transport network in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, building the rail network, improving the highway system and the management of the airport and port clusters in the region.
He also called for promoting the construction of the Xiong'an New Area with high quality and high standards, advancing the construction of major projects in an orderly manner and protecting local ecological environment.
