Vice-Premier Hu Chunhua met with French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire in Beijing on Oct 8.
Hu said that President Xi Jinping and French President Emmanuel Macron set the tone for the development of China-France ties during President Xi's state visit to France in March.
Together with France, China is willing to push forward construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and third-party market cooperation, and step up pragmatic cooperation in science and technology, agriculture, and industry, among others, Hu said.
Chinese enterprises eye a favorable investment environment in France, he said.
Le Maire extended congratulations on the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. He hoped that both parties will cement cooperation in a wide spectrum of fields.
Le Maire said that all foreign enterprises in France are entitled to a fair playing field.
