BEIJING — Vice-Premier Hu Chunhua and Brazilian President Jair Messias Bolsonaro attended the opening ceremony of a bilateral business seminar held in Beijing on Oct 25 and delivered speeches.

Noting that the two countries are good friends and partners, Hu said the China-Brazil relations have become a model for major developing countries since the establishment of diplomatic ties 45 years ago.

"Particularly in recent years, the bilateral trade volume expanded rapidly, the trade structure continued to improve, the investment cooperation was steadily advanced, and cooperation in high-tech sectors became highlights," Hu said.

China is willing to work with Brazil to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, better synergize the Belt and Road Initiative and Brazil's investment partnership program, and upgrade bilateral trade relations, Hu said.

Both sides should jointly deepen investment cooperation from a long-term perspective, jointly create a good business environment, strengthen coordination and communication in the multilateral arena and continuously enrich the content of the China-Brazil comprehensive strategic partnership, Hu said.

Brazil attaches great importance to relations with China and is willing to join hands with the Chinese side to give full play of the complementary advantages of the two countries, expand cooperation in various fields and bring the Brazil-China relations into a new stage, said Bolsonaro.

The president also said that Brazil will continue to improve the business environment and facilitate the people-to-people exchange between the two countries.
