BEIJING — China's Ministry of Education launched a website (www.chinese-learning.cn) for students of the Chinese language on Oct 25.
Users can take a Mandarin test on the website and the majority of the learning materials are free, said the ministry.
The website can also provide customized learning materials and tools based on the age and location of users.
Tian Lixin, head of the department for language application and information management under the ministry, said the ministry started working on the website in late 2016 to better serve global Chinese lovers with all kinds of learning resources.
