BEIJING — China has adopted new policies and measures to support the innovative development of border trade, the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said on Dec 4.
To boost the innovative growth of border trade, China has decided to adopt policies and measures involving three major aspects: innovation and transformation, fiscal, taxation and financial support, and better business environment, the MOC said in an online statement.
The statement listed seven specific measures, including to foster market centers for border trade and develop a new form of e-commerce that is fit for border trade.
The MOC and other 11 departments proposed the specific measures after carrying out surveys in about 20 border cities and holding forums to collect suggestions from local regions and border trade enterprises.
Border trade has been a key force to promote the economic and social development of the border areas.
In the future, good practices in this regard will be summed up and further spread to boost the sustained and healthy growth of border trade, the statement said.
