BEIJING — China will maintain mobile phone services and power and gas supplies for people with overdue bills during the novel coronavirus control period, according to the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council.
Three telecom operators - China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom - have launched services to help avoid or delay downtime for mobile phone users with overdue bills to ensure communication with medical workers and residents in the virus-stricken areas.
The State Grid Corporation of China and China Southern Power Grid have made efforts to ensure power usage for residents in arrears and key units working on epidemic prevention and control.
CR Gas under the China Resources Group, which is responsible for the supply of natural gas of 18 cities in virus-stricken Hubei province, promised to maintain the gas supply for people with overdue bills throughout the epidemic control period.
