BEIJING — An online recruiting program jointly launched by six major job-hunting websites in China has offered over 2 million jobs for university graduates amid the COVID-19 outbreak, according to the Ministry of Education.
The program, started on Feb 28, was part of the ministry's efforts to boost the employment of university and college graduates against the backdrop of the COVID-19 epidemic, downward economic pressure and an increase in the number of graduates.
Official data showed that over the last week or so, there have been 250,000 more graduates registered and 530,000 more resumes posted at the six websites including the country's leading human resource service provider 51job.com and zhaopin.com.
According to the ministry, provincial and municipal graduate employment departments and universities will advance employment services and more than 20,000 online recruiting events are expected in March.
