BEIJING — A total of 1,578 patients of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were discharged from hospital after recovery on March 10 on the Chinese mainland, the National Health Commission said March 11.

In total, 61,475 patients had been discharged from hospital by the end of March 10, the commission said in its daily report.

As of March 10, a total of 80,778 confirmed cases of the COVID-19 had been reported on the mainland, and 3,158 people had died of the disease.
