BEIJING — China will introduce relief measures to boost the development of the film industry, which has been affected by the novel coronavirus disease outbreak, said the China Film Administration on April 3.
The policies, including tax relief for filmmakers and cinemas, will be jointly formulated by the Ministry of Finance, the National Development and Reform Commission and other related departments.
In addition, China will step up its support for major films and help film enterprises overcome difficulties amid the epidemic outbreak.
More high-quality films will be moved online to meet the demand of residents staying at home due to the outbreak, according to the administration.
