China reopens reception venues for public complaints
Updated: April 11, 2020 07:10 Xinhua

BEIJING — Around 80 percent of city- and county-level reception venues for public complaints across China have reopened as the coronavirus epidemic waned in the country, according to the National Public Complaints and Proposals Administration (NPCPA).

Since the closure of the reception venues in late January to avoid gathering of people amid the coronavirus epidemic, complaint-handling administrations at all levels have timely and properly resolved a large number of public complaints via phone calls, video link, and the internet.

Meanwhile, venues for receiving the general public to lodge complaints and proposals to central Party and state institutions will remain closed as the epidemic situation in Beijing is still complex and severe, the NPCPA said.

Public members concerned were encouraged to file complaints or proposals online or by letters, it added.
