BEIJING — The Chinese mainland faces growing pressure from domestically transmitted COVID-19 cases as it reported 10 new such confirmed cases on April 17, the fourth consecutive day of double-digit growth, a health official said on April 18.
Resolute measures should be put in place for early diagnosis, early quarantine and early treatment, said Mi Feng, spokesperson for the National Health Commission, at a press conference.
Cluster infections should be handled in a timely manner to prevent the disease from spreading further, Mi added.
