BEIJING — Ten COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery on the Chinese mainland on June 8, the National Health Commission said on June 9.

There were 58 patients still being treated, the commission said in its daily report.

Altogether 78,351 patients had been cured and discharged from hospitals by June 8, the report said.

As of June 8, 83,043 confirmed COVID-19 cases had been reported on the mainland, including 4,634 who had died of the disease.
