BEIJING — The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has lifted the attendance limit at theater-like venues from 30 percent to 50 percent.
Medium-sized commercial performances with adequate epidemic prevention measures are allowed in COVID-19 low-risk areas, according to the latest guideline issued by the ministry.
The guideline prohibits interactive segments in shows, and says that commercial performances are still suspended in regions at moderate or high risk of COVID-19.
The theaters should have thorough disinfection in public areas before and after each performance and prepare sufficient protective materials, including masks and disposable gloves, according to the guideline.
Currently, in China, large-sized commercial performances are still suspended, based on a guideline issued by the ministry in May.
