BEIJING — Chinese authorities have launched a three-year campaign to improve the quality and attractiveness of vocational education across the country.
According to the campaign guideline, graduates of vocational schools shall enjoy the same treatment as graduates of regular colleges and universities in terms of employment, recruitment in public services and job promotion, among others.
The guideline encourages qualified undergraduate colleges and universities to be more application-oriented.
State-owned and other large private enterprises are also encouraged to run or participate in running vocational schools with their advantages in capital, technology, knowledge, facilities, equipment and management, said the guideline.
