BEIJING — A total of 24 COVID-19 patients were newly discharged from hospitals after recovery across the Chinese mainland on Nov 27, the National Health Commission said in a daily report on Nov 28.

There were 285 confirmed cases still being treated, including eight in severe conditions, the report showed.

As of Nov 27, the Chinese mainland had reported a total of 86,501 confirmed COVID-19 cases, among whom 81,582 had been discharged from hospitals after recovery and 4,634 died of the disease.
