BEIJING — Thirty-one COVID-19 patients were newly discharged from hospitals after recovery on the Chinese mainland on Jan 11, the National Health Commission said in a daily report on Jan 12.

There were 697 confirmed cases still being treated, including 18 in severe conditions, the report showed.

As of Jan 11, the Chinese mainland had reported a total of 87,591 confirmed COVID-19 cases, of whom 82,260 had been discharged from hospitals after recovery and 4,634 died of the disease.
