BEIJING — 13 COVID-19 patients were newly discharged from hospitals on March 6 following recovery on the Chinese mainland, the National Health Commission said on March 7.

There were 173 confirmed cases still being treated, the commission said in a daily report.

As of March 6, the Chinese mainland had reported a total of 89,975 confirmed COVID-19 cases, among whom 85,166 had been discharged from hospitals after recovery and 4,636 died of the disease.
