BEIJING — The bond issuances in China totaled 5.8 trillion yuan (about $904.85 billion) in April, data from the central bank showed.
Treasury bond issuances amounted to 495.8 billion yuan, while local government bond issuances stood at 775.82 billion yuan, according to the People's Bank of China.
In April, the issuances of financial bonds came in at 896.28 billion yuan, while corporate credit bond issuances totaled 1.4 trillion yuan.
The issuances of credit asset-backed securities stood at 77.65 billion yuan and that of interbank deposit certificates reached 2.1 trillion yuan.
By the end of April, outstanding bonds held in custody hit 121.1 trillion yuan, central bank data showed.
