WUHAN — Vice-Premier Sun Chunlan stressed improving the reserve and allocation of emergency medical supplies on April 2.
Leading a central government group to oversee the epidemic control work in Hubei province, Sun, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks while inspecting two pharmaceutical companies.
Sun urged to focus on closing the loopholes in medical supplies in major public health emergencies, and improve the variety, scale and structure of emergency medical material reserves.
Efforts were also needed to innovate and improve the reserve methods, optimize the production capacity and regional layout, and effectively enhance the emergency response capacity, said Sun.
