State Councilor Wang Yong addressed a teleconference on Feb 25 in Beijing, and urged centrally administered State-owned enterprises to propel the work on coordinating prevention and control of COVID-19 and resumption of production.

Wang fully affirmed centrally administered SOEs’ contribution in epidemic prevention and control and ensuring medical supplies and living essentials.

Epidemic control and prevention should progress in full swing, with related work plans and emergency plans improved, he stressed. And clear lines of responsibilities and detailed epidemic-prevention measures should be practically carried out.

In the meantime, local governments should engage targeted guides, to navigate centrally administered SOEs through orderly resumption of all-around operations and production, and to move forward the synergic development of enterprises of all types, Wang said.
