BEIJING — State Councilor and Defense Minister Wei Fenghe spoke over phone on March 27 with his Singaporean counterpart, Ng Eng Hen, on COVID-19 prevention and control.
Wei said that the situation in China has moved steadily in a positive direction, and the momentum for life and work to return normal has been consolidated and sustained.
He expressed gratitude to the support and assistance from Singapore amid epidemic prevention and control while appreciating Singapore's achievements and supporting its efforts in fight against the epidemic.
China is willing to strengthen cooperation and share experiences with Singapore to win the war against the outbreak with mutual help and assistance.
Recognizing the achievements of China in the fight against COVID-19, Ng Eng Hen expressed congratulations to China and added that China's measures on combating the epidemic are completely right.
The two senior officials also discussed other issues of military exchange within the year.
