Zhao Kezhi, State councilor and minister of public security, on July 12 held a meeting on the prevention and crackdown of cross-border online gambling.

Zhao said appropriate departments should take special action to crack down on the gambling and destroy criminal organizations involved in the activity.

He also called for efforts to root out underground banks and network payment platforms, as well as those providing such technologies.
