State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi called for efforts to maintain security and stability for the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China on Aug 26 during his inspection tour of Guangzhou, capital of South China’s Guangzhou province.
While visiting police stations, the command center of provincial public security and the joint innovation center for smart police services, Zhao examined and instructed the security work for the anniversary, extending greetings to police officers at the first frontier.
He said that intensified efforts should be made to crack down on violence, terrorist activities and other crimes to safeguard political security for southern China.
The measures to prevent risks and maintain stability should be strictly implemented, with enhanced training for police and public security staff, he added.
