State councilor meets Singapore's home affairs minister

BEIJING — State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi met with Singapore's Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Law Kasiviswanathan Shanmugam in Beijing on Dec 6.

The China-Singapore relations have continued with good momentum of development under the strategic guidance of the two countries' leaders, Zhao said, adding that China is willing to work with Singapore to maintain exchange and strengthen mutual learning, so as to promote the constant development of bilateral ties.

Zhao expressed the willingness to advance cooperation with Singapore to pursue Chinese fugitives suspected of duty crimes, to recover stolen assets, and to fight new types of crimes such as telecommunication fraud and online gambling.

Shanmugam said Singapore stands ready to enhance law enforcement and security cooperation with China to promote bilateral relations.
