BEIJING, May 31 -- Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Qin Gang met with Jens Plotner, foreign and security policy advisor to the German chancellor, on Wednesday in Beijing.

The two sides had in-depth communications on preparations for the seventh round of inter-governmental consultation between the two countries and exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern.
