BEIJING — The State Council, China’s cabinet, announced the appointment and removal of several officials on April 4.

Xu Hongcai was appointed vice-minister of finance, replacing Liu Wei.

Liu Wei was named vice-chairman of the National Council for Social Security Fund, replacing Lou Jiwei.

Hao Shuchen was appointed director of the office of a central inter-ministerial joint meeting of economic responsibility audit.
