BEIJING — China's crude oil output rose 0.9 percent year-on-year to 15.87 million metric tons last month, returning to growth from the 0.1-percent decline in March, official data showed.
During the same period, China processed about 53.85 million tons of crude oil, up 0.8 percent year-on-year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
In the first four months this year, China's crude oil output edged up 2.0 percent year-on-year to 64.44 million tons, and the country processed about 203.48 million tons of crude oil, down 3.4 percent from a year ago.
In April, China imported 40.43 million tons of crude oil, declining 7.5 percent year-on-year.
