BEIJING — China's major power plants generated 641.9 billion kWh of power in November, up 6.8 percent year-on-year, official data showed.
The growth rate was 2.2 percentage points higher than that of October, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
Thermal power production rose by 6.6 percent year-on-year in November, while solar power and wind power grew by 5.3 percent and 5.9 percent, respectively, the NBS said.
During the first 11 months of the year, China's major power plants generated about 6.68 trillion kWh of power, up 2 percent over the same period last year.
