I think the Chinese government has to be very careful to prevent the increase in the income gap. If they go too far in focusing on the market without enough social investment, the inequality could increase. Some of the things that they’ve emphasized, like the decisive role of the market, tend to create inequality. Therefore it is very important for them to go to the other side to balance, to make sure there is enough investment in education, healthcare and environment.
