BEIJING - Defense Minister Chang Wanquan held talks with his Romanian counterpart Mircea Dusa on Sept 30 in Beijing.

China and Romania have enjoyed profound friendship and stable and healthy bilateral relations since the establishment of diplomatic ties 65 years ago, Chang said, adding that China is willing to work with Romania to advance military relations.

Dusa said his country attaches great importance to bilateral ties and is ready to deepen cooperation and exchanges with China.

China and Romania forged diplomatic ties on Oct 5, 1949, four days after the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
