A total of 96 contracts worth $15 billion were signed on June 13 between Chinese and German companies at the eighth Chinese-German Forum for Economic and Technological Cooperation.

There is great room for cooperation between our two countries as both upgrade their economic structure, said Lin Nianxiu, deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the country’s top economic planning body.

The forum, hosted by the NDRC and Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, attracted nearly 800 attendees to discuss topics including the digital economy and economic structural transformation.
