BEIJING - Vice-Premier Liu Yandong will attend cultural meetings in Russia and France from Sept 13 to 19, a Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said on Sept 11.

Liu will chair the 15th session of the China-Russia Committee on Humanities Cooperation in Russia at the invitation of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets, who is also the Russian chairwoman of the committee, spokeswoman Hua Chunying told a daily press briefing.

The vice-premier will also attend a launch ceremony and the first meeting of the China-France High-level Mechanism of Dialogue on People-to-People Exchanges in France at the invitation of French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius, Hua said.
