Meanwhile, the contribution rate of science and technology rose from 52.2 percent in 2012 to 57.5 percent in 2017, and its rank in the national innovation capability moved up from 20th place in 2012 to No 17.

Over the past five years, with innovation capability growing fast, the country’s main innovation indexes entered the top level in the global arena. A historical, integral and structural change has been made through years of efforts.
