On July 3, closure of the main arch of the bridge was successful, with all 40 ribs joined together, marking the completion of the most challenging section of the construction project. Once completed, this flying-swallow-shaped tied-arch bridge with concrete-filled steel pipe, the main span of which is recorded as the longest in the world, will allow north-shore residents to cross the river and get rid of the old ferry-boat transportation.
