Leaders of global enterprises from around the world gathered at a seminar, part of the 2014 Summer Davos in Tianjin, to discuss the opportunities and challenges of the world economy on Sept 9.
Hosted by Tianjin’s Municipal People’s Government and World Economic Forum, the seminar attracted a great number of important attendees, such as Klaus Schwab, Chairman of the World Economic Forum; Ren Xuefeng, Party chief of Guangzhou Municipal government; and Cui Jindu, Tianjin Municipal Party Committee Secretary and Executive Vice Mayor of Tianjin. Municipal officials Liu Changxi, Zong Guoying, and He Shushan also attended the seminar.
Cui Jindu said one of the biggest values of Summer Davos is the seminar, which promotes cooperation and innovation, as well as bringing new ideas on how we could think and how to change life with exchanges and communication.
Cui also said, entrepreneurs and enterprises are the backbone in promoting innovation and creating value. These entrepreneurs are not only promoters of the global economic development, but also the pioneers of future global economic growth.
Cui hoped that the seminar would bring together human wisdom, and become a strong driver for the economy. He also urged Tianjin to take the opportunity and to best utilize its advantage to offer convenience as well as better services for global enterprises.
The attending leaders of the global enterprises had panel discussions under the topic promoting innovation, creating value. Summer Davos will be officially unveiled on September 10 after the Global Enterprise Leadership Seminar.
