Internet users have input into govt work report

Internet users will have a say in the government work report, after they were invited to offer their suggestions online.

The government’s website, together with other six web portals, received more than 40,000 suggestions, up to Feb 27, from netizens from all walks of life.

The websites jointly launched the event in January inviting the public to contribute to this year’s government’s report which is due on March 5.

Streamlining administration and delegating power, with 5,451 suggestions, topped the list in the 18 designated categories, followed by 4,107 suggestions on fighting corruption and enhancing clean governance.

Of the more than 40,000 suggestions, 914, mostly related to social security, administrative streamlining, agriculture, finance and taxation, were submitted as a sample to the group that in charge of drawing up the report’s draft.
