Following are the schedules for the fourth sessions of the 12th National People’s Congress (NPC) and the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on March 8.

NPC:

-- NPC delegations will hold plenary meetings to examine the national economic and social development plan, and central and local budgets in the morning.

-- NPC deputies will attend panel deliberations on the national economic and social development plan in the afternoon.

-- Foreign Minister Wang Yi will give a press conference starting 10 am at the press center of the two sessions.

-- At 3 pm, Li Bin, minister in charge of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, will give a press conference on China’s two-child policy at the press center of the two sessions.

CPPCC:

-- Members of the 12th CPPCC National Committee will hold panel discussions about the government work report and the draft outline of the 13th five-year national development plan.

-- At 3 pm, the 12th CPPCC National Committee will hold a meeting on how to better resettle laid-off employees when cutting overcapacity.
