BEIJING — Nearly all proposals raised by China’s political advisors last year have been dealt with, the national political advisory body announced on Feb 21.
Since the fourth session of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) in March 2016, a total of 5,769 proposals were raised, said Sun Gan, chief of the subcommittee for handling proposals of the CPPCC National Committee.
Among those filed for further handling, about 99.8 percent had received feedback or were accepted, Sun said at a press conference held on Feb 21.
Over the past year, political advisors at all levels have been working to improve the quality and efficiency of proposal handling.
According to Sun, over 300 proposals are expected to be submitted at the March session of the top political advisory body.
