China’ CPI up 0.9%, PPI up 7.6% in March

BEIJING — China’s consumer price index, a main gauge of inflation, grew 0.9 percent year-on-year in March, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) announced on April 12.

China’s producer price index (PPI), which measures costs for goods at the factory gate, rose 7.6 percent year-on-year in March, official data showed on April 12.

The pace slightly eased from the 7.8 percent registered in February, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
