BRICS countries’ financial ministers and central bank governors gathered in Shanghai on June 19, making preparation in financial field for BRICS summit later this year.

Delegations and government officials are discussing topics related to macroeconomic policy, cooperation under G20 and BRICS, taxation policy and financial and investment cooperation.

The BRICS summit is going to be held in Xiamen, southeastern Fujian province in September. China serves as the rotating chair of the BRICS group this year, where enhancing economic and security cooperation are expected to top the agenda.
