BEIJING — More than 100 major tourist attractions across China will lower admission fees as slow season is approaching.

A ticket of the Palace Museum in Beijing will cost 40 yuan ($6) from Nov 1 to March 31, down from 60 yuan between April 1 and Oct 31, according to the museum’s official website.

Ticket prices for the Potala Palace in Lhasa, capital of Tibet autonomous region, and the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang, Northwest China’s Gansu province, will both be cut in half, down to 100 yuan from Nov 1 to April 30.

Scenic spots in eastern and southwestern regions will see a drop of ticket price from December. Mount Huangshan in Anhui province, Mount Tai in Shandong province, and Mount Emei in Sichuan province will cut the prices during the autumn and winter seasons.

Scenic areas in northwestern Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region and Qinghai province have already seen price cuts since October, as temperature in these areas drops earlier than in other regions.
