ZHENGZHOU — The first China-made autogiro has been approved by civil aviation authorities.
The two-seat aircraft was developed by Sun Hawk (Henan) Aviation Industry Co., Ltd. in Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province.
With a maximum takeoff weight of 480 kg, the 5.08-meter aircraft can fly nonstop for as far as 600 km at a maximum speed of 165 km per hour.
The aircraft can be used in various fields, including protection of farmland and forests, police patrols, aerial photography and rescue.
