BEIJING — The State Council, China’s cabinet, announced on Sept 13 that Qin Gang was appointed vice-minister of foreign affairs.

Chen Jian was appointed auditor general of the National Audit Office, while Lin Shanqing became deputy director of the National Energy Administration.

Shi Yugang was removed from the post of deputy director of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, and Zhou Xuewen is no longer vice-minister of water resources.

Gao Yan was removed from the post of vice-minister of commerce, and Zhao Xiaoguang will no longer serve as deputy director of the State Post Bureau.
