BEIJING — The State Council, China’s cabinet, announced the appointment and removal of several officials on Sept 29.

Zhao Jianguo was appointed deputy head of the National Government Offices Administration.

An Lusheng was appointed deputy head of the National Railway Administration.

Chen Shifei and Yan Jiangying were appointed deputy heads of the National Medical Products Administration.

Wang Qun was appointed China’s permanent representative to the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and also China’s permanent representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Cai Zhenhua was removed from the post of deputy director of the General Administration of Sport of China.

Huang Xianqi was removed from the post of member of the academy affairs committee of the Chinese Academy of Governance.

Shi Zhongjun was removed from the posts of China’s permanent representative to the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and also China’s permanent representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency.
