The 2019 China Brand Day event will take place in Shanghai from May 10 to 12, as part of China’s bigger efforts to pursue high-quality development.
“The event will help further enhance and promote society’s understanding of branding, while developing and protecting independent brands. And consumers will have a better understanding of high-quality independent brands,” said Wang Dong, an official with the industrial division of the National Development and Reform Commission, at a news conference in Beijing.
The event will be hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce, the State Administration for Market Regulation, the National Intellectual Property Administration and the Shanghai municipal government.
With a key focus on high-quality Chinese brands, the event will have a main forum and seven subforums covering topics related to brand building, high-quality development, information consumption, brand marketing and trademarks.
More than 200 independent brands will showcase their products in the exhibition hall, covering a variety of industries: textiles and clothing, information technology, automotive, food, leather, chemicals in common use, home appliances, ceramics, clocks and watches, sporting goods and instruments.
Approved by the State Council, China Brand Day has opened on May 10 each year starting 2017.
