BEIJING — The State Council, China's cabinet, announced the appointment and removal of officials on Dec 18.

Ou Wenhan was appointed assistant minister of finance, and Ren Zhiwu was appointed deputy director of the National Energy Administration.

Liu Zhenyu was removed from the post of vice-justice minister, and Qi Chengyuan was removed from the post of deputy director of the National Energy Administration, according to the State Council.
