SHANGHAI — Shanghai will take strict measures to control the novel coronavirus epidemic among the city's vast number of commercial and office buildings, according to a press conference on Feb 5.
Commercial and office buildings' property owners and service providers, as well as related street governors, are required to shoulder responsibilities respectively.
Housing management authorities at all levels will guide commercial and office buildings' property service providers to standardize the anti-epidemic process.
Companies inside the buildings are required to keep a clean, ventilated and sterile indoor environment and provide necessary preventive training for their employees. They should also accurately record employee information.
The majority of Shanghai-based enterprises will resume work on Feb 10, and further preparations are required.
The city's authorities encouraged companies to arrange flexible commuting and dinning hours for their employees to avoid crowds and gatherings and use online solutions instead of physical meetings, operations, and negotiations.
Special and sterilized areas can be set in the entrance halls of commercial buildings for visitor reception.
External training, large scale conferences, and recruitment inside the buildings are temporarily canceled.
