Mao Weiming appointed acting governor of China's Hunan province

CHANGSHA — Mao Weiming was appointed deputy governor and acting governor of Central China's Hunan province on Nov 27, according to a decision of the standing committee of the provincial legislature.

Mao, born in May 1961, is a native of Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province. He now also serves as deputy secretary of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China.

The 21st session of the Standing Committee of the 13th Hunan Provincial People's Congress on Nov 27 also accepted the resignation of Xu Dazhe from the post of the provincial governor.
