The agenda of 2015 NPC session

Let’s take a look at the agenda for this year’s session of the National People’s Congress, which officially opens on March 5.

On the very first day, Premier Li Keqiang is scheduled to deliver a government work report to nearly 3,000 NPC deputies.

On March 8th, China’s top legislator Zhang Dejiang will deliver a work report of the NPC Standing Committee. On the same day, Foreign Minister Wang Yi will hold a press briefing, answering questions over China´s foreign policy and foreign relations.

Two days later, the NPC is to review a draft amendment to China’s Legislation Law, which regulates the process of creating national laws, government regulations and local laws, and defines legislative powers.

On March 12th, chief justice Zhou Qiang, and Procurator-General Cao Jianming - who heads the national agency responsible for prosecution and investigation - will each present their work report to the NPC.

On the 15th, the NPC will wrap up its annual session. After which, Premier Li Keqiang will meet the press and answer questions from both domestic and overseas media.
