The delegation in Kuala Lumper to represent China’s bid for the 2022 Winter Olympics says there will be no problem in ensuring enough snow for the Games in Zhangjiakou.
The city will host a variety of events if China gains the Olympic Games. Officials say the Olympic venues in Zhangjiakou could produce 20 tons of snow within an hour.
“You know also worldwide, even in the Alps and in Switzerland, they don’t always have snow at the same time. So, what we’re blessed with are sufficient water reserves and also the snow-making capability,” said Lim Chee Wah, chairman of Genting Ski Resort.
